Khokhlova: Today we were in an excellent mood and hopefully we were able to bring it across. There was a lot of support from the crowd, it is a very nice atmosphere to compete in. Europeans is in a way like a final test before the Olympic Games and we will debut our new Free Dance here, so it is something new for the audience. (On being defending Champions) We hope to repeat last year’s success, but we are not thinking too much about what was last year and what happened at the beginning of the season where we maybe didn’t get the results we wanted. This is a completely new step now and we are going into it with a clear head and refreshed mind.

Novitski: We have very positive emotions. (on coming back from disappointment) We came here with the mindset that we want to prove everyone that we are still here, that you can’t count us out
